Race Packs

**ALL RACE PACKS ARE TO BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY**

All entries will be assigned a number at registration. To collect your number, make your way down to the collection desks. It will take around 15 minutes to collect your number, so please arrive early.

 

You will be given an envelope with your name and race number on it.
You will be provided with:
Your race numbers (this must be on the back for bike and front for run).
Timing chip (this must be worn on your ankle).
Sticker for your bike.
Sticker for your helmet.

Collection Time: 11:00-12:30

IMPORTANT:

When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us in case of an emergency!

The day licence for Non-BTF members is included in the entry price.
If you are a BTF Member, please ensure that you complete your licence number accurately during the registration process. All licence numbers will be validated by BTF before the event and any participants with an invalid BTF licence number will be asked to show an online copy at registration.

By Car

Goodwood is located just outside Chichester, only 60 miles from London, and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton. There is parking available for all competitors in the field opposite gate 2 at Goodwood Motor Circuit. There is disabled parking available inside the track.

From London: Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

From the East: Follow the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, go straight over. Take the exit signposted Guildford/Petworth. Go right at the first roundabout, and straight over the second roundabout.

Follow the road until you reach the second left, signposted Lavant. Turn left here and follow the road down to the second cross roads. Turn right, following the brown signpost for the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

From the West: Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

By rail

Nearest station: Chichester

There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1hour 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

By bike

Goodwood Motor Circuit is easily accessible by bicycle and there will be bike racks available at the venue for you to lock up your bike during the race.

Toilets

There will be toilets available in the venue, just a short walk from the event village. If you live locally we recommend using toilets at home. Please expect queuing if using the toilets provided.

During the race

The entire course is on the Motor Circuit itself and will be split into two to dividing runners and cyclists during the race. We have plenty of marshals to keep you quite literally on track and encourage you on your way to that chequered flag finish.
Standard Duathlon:
7.6km (2 laps)
38km (10 laps)
3.8km (1 lap)
Sprint Duathlon:
3.8km (1 lap)
19km (5 laps)
3.8km 1 lap)
One lap of the circuit is 3.8k and you are responsible for counting your own laps.
Please discard any water bottles or rubbish during the race near the course signs.

Transition Rules:

Only race officials and competitors are allowed inside the transition area.
No riding is allowed in the transition zone.
You must mount your bike AFTER the mount line and dismount BEFORE the dismount line.
Your helmet must be fastened on your head at all times whilst you are on your bike or running through the transition area with your bike.

You may be asked to:
Show your race number and bike/helmet stickers are placed correctly on your equipment.
Show your timing chip is correctly fitted to your ankle.
Show your helmet fits correctly by wearing it with the strap done up.

Results

Results will be available on www.humber-half.org.uk after the race.

We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race. Photos will be uploaded to our photos page after the race, so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself!

Refreshments

Runners are welcome to set up their own hydration and fuel stations at the event. We encourage runners to bring their own water in order to minimize litter and to be more eco-friendly. There will be water provided on every lap of the race and at the finish line. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead-up to the event.

Baggage

Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event. The car park is located next to the event village and we, therefore, recommend leaving any belongings in your car.
There will be an informal self-service bag drop area within the event village for runners who need it.

Spectators

Spectators are more than welcome to attend and support runners. Please be aware spectators cannot walk around the inside of the circuit and dogs are NOT permitted.
